Playorena is a developmentally appropriate recreational program based on the premise that self-acceptance is a major key to growth and development. We are aware that young children have a strong innate need for all different kinds of movement and motion. The Playorena program is designed to take toddlers step by step through the stages of early motor development while educating parents. Parental awareness of the sequential and individually differing nature of the developmental process is crucial in reducing the negative effects that result from unrealistic expectations. We know that a parent's confidence in their child, and in their own parenting skills provides the basis for the child's own self-confidence. The Playorena program and equipment have been continually refined and improved to enhance the development of self-esteem and the sensory-motor integration process that is the basis for higher learning. The Playorena "YES" environment enables a child to experience the essential activities of rocking, spinning, jumping, balancing, running, and crawling all of which are the "food" for mental and physical growth.
